Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This policy applies to iOS apps published by Zatech in general, including Presence. It is a general template and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer; Zatech should have it reviewed before relying on it as a company's sole privacy documentation.
1. Who we are
Zatech ("Zatech", "we", "us") is a Netherlands-based developer of iOS applications. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Zatech is the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with our apps.
2. Scope of this policy
This is a general privacy policy that applies across Zatech's iOS apps unless a specific app states otherwise. The exact permissions an individual app requests, and the exact data categories Apple requires us to disclose for it, are listed on that app's App Store product page ("App Privacy" / nutrition label) and in the permission prompts iOS shows you.
3. Our general approach
Where the platform allows it, our apps are built to process your content — recordings, photos, text, or similar — directly on your device rather than sending it to a server. When an app of ours does not follow this approach for a particular feature, that will be disclosed in this policy or in the app's own materials.
4. Data we may process
Depending on the specific app and the features you use, this may include:
- Content you create in the app — such as audio or video recordings, text, or notes you generate while using the app. Unless an app explicitly states otherwise, this content is processed and stored on your device and is not transmitted to Zatech.
- Device permissions data — such as microphone, camera, or speech-recognition access, requested only for the specific feature that needs it, and only after you grant the relevant iOS permission. You can review or revoke these at any time in iOS Settings.
- Purchase data — if an app offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, these are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details; Apple may share limited transaction data with us (such as which product was purchased) to provide the purchased feature.
- Diagnostic and crash data — if enabled, iOS may share anonymized crash and performance data with us through Apple's own developer tools, governed by Apple's own privacy terms.
- Support communications — if you contact us directly (for example by email), we process the information you send us in order to respond.
5. What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not build cross-app or cross-site profiles of you for advertising purposes.
6. Third-party services
Our apps are built primarily on Apple's own frameworks and run on Apple's infrastructure (the App Store, iCloud where applicable, on-device Speech and Vision frameworks). Apple processes certain data under its own privacy policy, available at apple.com/legal/privacy. If a specific app integrates any additional third-party service, that service and its purpose will be disclosed in the app's App Store privacy label.
7. Children's privacy
Our apps are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can address it.
8. Data retention
Content that is processed and stored on your device (such as recordings) remains under your control and is retained until you delete it or delete the app. Any data we hold directly (such as support correspondence) is retained only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for.
9. Security
We rely on the security protections built into iOS and Apple's platforms, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data we do handle directly. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request portability of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
11. International transfers
Because most content is processed on your own device, transfers of personal data to Zatech are minimal. Where any transfer outside the EEA does occur (for example via Apple's global infrastructure), it is covered by Apple's own safeguards as data processor for services such as the App Store.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
